You’re bringing quite the crew to
Hawaii, and you know you’re going to need a van to travel around Honolulu. But you continue to look back and forth between a minivan and a passenger van. You just can’t seem to decide which one will be best for your friends or family on your great Hawaiian adventure. Well, let our staff at
ABC Auto Center help. Here are a few tips to help you determine which van rental is best.
1. Count heads.
Sometimes, the right van rental just comes down to the numbers. If you have fewer than 7 passengers, then a minivan will work just fine. However, if you have 8 or more, then you’ll likely need to bump up to a
passenger van rental, which seats up to 15 passengers.
2. Consider your budget.
All our van rates are priced to be affordable, but each model does vary. You will want to determine what rate fits into your vacation budget before deciding which van is best.
3. Don’t forget storage space.
Think of how much luggage you plan to bring to Hawaii. Also, if you plan to do any shopping or pick up some souvenirs, you will want to make sure your van has plenty of space. A
minivan rental is built for family travel and generally accommodates each passenger having at least one medium-sized piece of luggage. However, if you’re heavy packers, you may want to consider a passenger van just for the extra space it might afford.
4. Know whether you need the amenities.
The minivan definitely comes equipped with a few more amenities, such as sliding doors, extra cupholders, CD player, and more comfortable seats. So if these extras are important to you, you may want to stick with a minivan rental.
