Diamond Head in HonoluluLooking for some great destinations to explore in Honolulu? The good news is that you’re in luck. Hawaii is full of beautiful destinations, outdoor recreation, fantastic dining, and fun attractions. When our customers ask where they should go or what they should see, our staff here at ABC Auto Center is always sure to include a trip to Diamond Head State Monument.

About the Park

Diamond Head State Monument is part history, part beauty, and part outdoor recreational paradise. This volcanic landmark was once used by the U.S. Military as a base to prevent attacks on Honolulu. Today, however, it’s best known for its great hiking and breathtaking views of the Pacific. Plus, you get to get up close—and we mean really close—to an incredible volcanic crater. We will warn you, however, that the hike to the top is not for the feint of heart, and you’ll want to make sure you have your doctor’s clearance in case you have any concerns about your physical ability to make it to the top. Before you head out, be sure to check out the park’s website and read through all the info so you can best prepare yourself for your visit.
