3. Battleship Missouri Memorial
The USS Missouri was commissioned into action in 1944 and served in active duty for 16 years. The ship is open for both guided and unguided tours. Visitors can roam the deck and explore the crew quarters, mess hall, engine room, and more. The Surrender Deck is also a popular attraction; this is the exact spot where Japanese representatives signed the surrender documents that ended the war!
4. USS Bowfin Submarine
Because of its cramped interior, a visit to the USS Bowfin is not for the faint of heart. However, if you can withstand the tight spaces, exploring the Bowfin gives great insight into the daily lives of sailors and Marines. This sub was nicknamed the “Pearl Harbor Avenger” for sinking 44 enemy ships during its nine patrols. Admission tickets come with a complimentary audio tour, which allows visitors to explore at their own pace.
